説明
A questionnaire survey was carried out in soft-tennis players to clarify the prevalence of acute and chronic injuries. Subjects consisted of 393 junior and senior high school students, college students, and workers playing soft-tennis in their daily life. On average, 43.9 percent of them experienced sports injuries from playing soft-tennis, and of course the older the age, the higher the percentage. They showed a preponderance of injuries of the lower extremity compared with the upper extremity, and especially there were many ankle sprains in their responses. Injuries tended to be more severe in older age groups. Relatively larger prevalence rates of sports injuries were found in female junior and senior high school students, male college students and male workers. Although female senior high school students had a greater injuries severity, there was no difference between both sexes for all ages. The percentage of people experiencing sports injuries was relatively higher in forward players than in back players. Based on the calculations of incidence and prevalence rates, sports injuries in soft-tennis players were estimated to be less than those in hard-tennis players.
