Research Abstract

タンパク質は生命活動の中心を担う生体分子であり，酵素をはじめ多様な機能を持つ。生命はタンパク質の立体構造を変化させることで，その機能のオン・オフを巧みに制御する仕組みを備えている。本研究では，この仕組みのひとつである「翻訳後修飾」に着目し，有機合成反応を利用した「人工翻訳後修飾」によりタンパク質の立体構造を制御する手法を開発する。本手法は，従来にないタンパク質の生物活性制御への利用が期待される。
