Research Abstract

南米アンデス地域では後15-16世紀にインカ帝国が台頭した。それは支配者集団であるインカ族が80以上の他の民族集団を支配した国であった。そのインカ帝国の祖型は、後8-10世紀に台頭したワリ帝国であったとされる。本研究では、アンデス最初の帝国ワリの社会構成の特徴と地方社会の実態を、土器をはじめとする物質文化と人骨そのものの分析から明らかにすることを目的とする。発掘調査を実施したペルー北部の4つの遺跡からの出土遺物を、ワリ帝国の首都ワリ遺跡のデータと比較検討する。人骨の形態分析、DNA分析、タンパク質分析、同位体分析、歯石分析、土壌分析など多角的に実施し、人間集団の多様性を判定する指標を確立する。
