Research Abstract
研究代表者らは、淡水湖沼が長期に渡って二酸化炭素の吸収源となることを発見し、“Freshwater Carbon”と名付けた。淡水カーボンの対象面積は、ブルーカーボンで対象としている全面積の約3倍でありポテンシャルは大きいが、二酸化炭素の吸収に関する評価技術は存在しない。そこで本研究では、多様な湖沼・貯水池・ため池を対象とし、植物プランクトンや水草による二酸化炭素貯留量の評価技術を開発する。
