Research Abstract

ハイドロゲルは生体適合性に優れ、低摩擦であることから多くの医療材料への応用が期待されているが、応用環境では含水率が一定でない場合も多く、膨潤・収縮の過程における摩擦や摩耗の挙動の理解は不十分である。本研究では、独自の観察系を用いた摩擦測定および潤滑液中の摩耗粒子を定量するTOC測定により、膨潤・収縮過程におけるゲルの摩擦・摩耗特性を高精度に評価する。動的環境下でも安定した性能を発揮できるゲル材料の実現に向けて、トライボロジー特性に基づく新たな設計指針の構築を目指す。
