Research Abstract
生体はリガンドとターゲットの多価的な相互作用によって、特異的で強い分子認識を達成している。ターゲットを捉える人工分子の設計には多価効果を発揮させる精密な、反応場の設計が必要になる。本研究で設計する精密な高分子多価リガンドを発現させるには適している。生理活性糖をはじめとする特殊リガンドを開発して、病原体を捕捉する高分子の設計を行う。合成高分子の多価効果に基づき、病原性細菌（病原性大腸菌、腸内細菌叢関連細菌など）、その産生タンパク質をターゲットとし、これらを効果的に捕捉、相互作用の阻害を行い、防除する。精密な構造を有する合成高分子に基づいて、感染症に対する全く新しい高分子医薬及び治療法を開発する。
