A rhizomic system is a theoretical model developedfrom the perspective of systems theory,based on the philosophical concept of rhizomepresented by Gilles Deleuze and Félix Guattari.It is the third systemic model bridging two existingformulae of systemics, namely, synergeticand cybernetic systems.This thesis, a follow-up to my earlier work(Kuroishi 2012*) subtitled the same, aims to explainthe various concepts constituting arhizomic system in a glossary format. Thisstudy is based entirely on the opposition betweena “body without organs,” which tries toattract the system to equilibrium, and “organmachines,”which attempt to repulse it.These terminologies refer to never-endingequilibrating processes in a non-equilibriumopen system with the continuous injection ofenergy. In terms of socio-economic system, thebody without organs and the organ-machinesare equivalent to the market mechanism andmerchant machines, respectively.This study examines the mechanism of howorgan-machines develop through the four aspectsof “Eduction, Connection, Disjunctionand Conjunction,” while focusing on variousgradients distributed on the surface of the bodywithout organs.
