Many aspects of the theory of music consist of experience and customs, which prevents learners oflittle musical experience from understanding the theory.The author has got an idea that such a problem of the traditional theory of music can be solved by restructuringthe logic with mathematical way of thinking and tried to consider the theory of music mathematically.As a result, the author could affirm that restructuring the theory of music by mathematical way ofthinking can not only help understanding of learners of little musical experience but also has possibilityof discovering a new way of expression in music.In this study, the author considered the way of deriving available note scales from the notes of achord mathematically.By this study, the author affirmed that this theory can be applied to practical music flexibly becauseit can derive scales other than those in the existing frames.
