本稿では、大学職員の役割が多様化する中、金沢工業大学（以降金沢工大と言う） の職員の意識を探るとともに、今後の大学職員研究へ新たな知見と潜在的な研究課題の必要性を提示することを目的とする。近年、大学職員の役割への議論が高まる中、国内大学改革の先端を走る金沢工大職員に対する意識調査を実施し、同校の職員が自身の役割についてどのような認識を持ち、日々の業務に励んでいるのか、その実態を主要職員（勤務経験 5 年以上で係長以上の役職のもの）へのアンケート調査並びに同校のマネジメント層へのインタビューによって浮き彫りとした。その結果、同校の職員は、直接部門、間接部門関係なく同じ目標を共有しているとの知見を得た。また目標の共有によって教職協働に対しても積極的な姿勢が見られた。最後にマネジメント層へのインタビューを通じて、同校の職員の役割に対する考え方を浮き彫りとした。;Discussion on the role of university staff is increasing. In this paper, we conducted an awareness survey on the staff of Kanazawa Institute of Technology (KIT). We highlighted the actual awareness of staff role and their daily work by the survey of key staff members. In doing so, we analyzed key staff of direct and indirect departments where mainly involved with education and research, and corporate operations. As a result, KIT staff members share clear goals regardless of direct or indirect department. It also affects communication with teachers, and an active attitude toward teacher-staff collaboration. Finally, through an interview with the top management, it highlighted the idea of the university staff role.
