Today, in Japan, many historic olden cultures and ways of livings are passing away. To cope with these negative trends, government implement laws, such as, the Landscape Law in 2004 or the Historical Community Planning Rule in 2008. But it is not sufficient enough just to implement such political measures . To maintain the historical olden cultures and way of livings in this rapid changing days, we have to pass on the predecessors’s pride, delight, anger, sorrow and pleasure to the successors. We conduct the intensive hearing investigation to the old folk house style local cuisine restraint “Ohmatsuya” in Tsuruoka city and figure out the experimental background of successful succession from the predecessor to the successor.
