Abstract

In this paper, we aim to find out code clones to appear in use of certain APIs, and analyze characteristics of them. As the target of analysis, we chose a web application which certain A company developed. We analysed Java source codes of the web application and we can find out code clones in use of APIs and frameworks such as servlet, web service API, xml sac parser, and xml dom parser. Moreover, we recognized those code clones have unique characteristics of APIs.
