The second purpose was to study the effects of\npsychological and situational factors on subordinate performance.</jats:p><jats:p>Usable data of 355 matched supervisor‐subordinate pairs working in health centers in Thailand were\nanalyzed. Results revealed that female subordinates receiving all three types of support received higher performance\nratings from their supervisors than did their male counterparts. Perceived organizational support,\nself‐efficacy, and location of workplace were also associated with subordinate performance.
