Aoki et al. is written down explicitly in terms of bosonic variables only. The effective theory is then studied by Monte Carlo simulations in order to investigate the possibility of a spontaneous breakdown of Lorentz invariance. The imaginary part of the effective action, which causes the so-called sign problem in the simulation, is dropped by hand. The extent of the eigenvalue distribution of the bosonic matrices shows a power-law large N behavior, consistent with a simple branched-polymer prediction. We observe, however, that the eigenvalue distribution becomes more and more isotropic in the ten-dimensional space-time as we increase N. This suggests that if the spontaneous breakdown of Lorentz invariance really occurs in the IIB matrix model, a crucial role must be played by the imaginary part of the effective action."}]},{"notation":[{"@value":"26 pages, LaTeX, 7 eps figures"}]}],"creator":[{"@id":"https://cir.nii.ac.jp/crid/1381699994694657412","@type":"Researcher","foaf:name":[{"@value":"Jan Ambjørn"}]},{"@id":"https://cir.nii.ac.jp/crid/1420001326225847552","@type":"Researcher","personIdentifier":[{"@type":"KAKEN_RESEARCHERS","@value":"90273218"},{"@type":"NRID","@value":"1000090273218"},{"@type":"NRID","@value":"9000351494549"},{"@type":"NRID","@value":"9000002216317"},{"@type":"NRID","@value":"9000003445737"},{"@type":"NRID","@value":"9000413515531"},{"@type":"NRID","@value":"9000401918488"},{"@type":"NRID","@value":"9000401916389"},{"@type":"NRID","@value":"9000258204191"},{"@type":"NRID","@value":"9000312832235"},{"@type":"NRID","@value":"9000241156474"},{"@type":"NRID","@value":"9000258204196"},{"@type":"NRID","@value":"9000014907262"},{"@type":"NRID","@value":"9000241156479"},{"@type":"RESEARCHMAP","@value":"https://researchmap.jp/jun_nishimura"}],"foaf:name":[{"@value":"Jun Nishimura"}]},{"@id":"https://cir.nii.ac.jp/crid/1381699994694657409","@type":"Researcher","foaf:name":[{"@value":"Konstantinos N Anagnostopoulos"}]},{"@id":"https://cir.nii.ac.jp/crid/1381699994694657410","@type":"Researcher","foaf:name":[{"@value":"Wolfgang Bietenholz"}]},{"@id":"https://cir.nii.ac.jp/crid/1381699994694657408","@type":"Researcher","foaf:name":[{"@value":"Tomohiro Hotta"}]}],"publication":{"publicationIdentifier":[{"@type":"EISSN","@value":"10298479"}],"prism:publicationName":[{"@value":"Journal of High Energy Physics"}],"dc:publisher":[{"@value":"Springer Science and Business Media LLC"}],"prism:publicationDate":"2000-07-06","prism:volume":"2000","prism:number":"07","prism:startingPage":"011","prism:endingPage":"011"},"reviewed":"false","dcterms:accessRights":"http://purl.org/coar/access_right/c_abf2","createdAt":"2002-07-26","modifiedAt":"2011-08-02","foaf:topic":[{"@id":"https://cir.nii.ac.jp/all?q=High%20Energy%20Physics%20-%20Theory","dc:title":"High Energy Physics -
