Membrane proteomics aims to identify the membrane protein constituents, their posttranslational modifications, protein–protein interactions, and dynamics. Efforts to identify membrane proteins and elucidate their dynamics have been plagued by the challenges presented by studying water insoluble proteins that are distributed among a range of membranes in a cell and often occur at a relatively low abundance. This brief review presents a summary of the literature related to membrane proteomics with an emphasis on efforts to develop effective protocols for the enrichment of membrane proteins, particularly those located in the plasma membrane.</jats:p>\n                  <jats:p/>"}]}],"creator":[{"@id":"https://cir.nii.ac.jp/crid/1380588753415470976","@type":"Researcher","foaf:name":[{"@value":"Bruce A Macher"}],"jpcoar:affiliationName":[{"@value":"Department of Chemistry and Biochemistry, 1600 Holloway Ave., San Francisco State University a , San Francisco, CA 94132 macher@sfsu.edu +1 (415)338-6253 +1 (415)338-6078"}]},{"@id":"https://cir.nii.ac.jp/crid/1381699995359452929","@type":"Researcher","foaf:name":[{"@value":"Ten-Yang Yen"}],"jpcoar:affiliationName":[{"@value":"Department of Chemistry and Biochemistry, 1600 Holloway Ave., San Francisco State University a , San Francisco, CA 94132 macher@sfsu.edu +1 (415)338-6253 +1 (415)338-6078"}]}],"publication":{"publicationIdentifier":[{"@type":"EISSN","@value":"17422051"},{"@type":"PISSN","@value":"1742206X"}],"prism:publicationName":[{"@value":"Molecular BioSystems"}],"dc:publisher":[{"@value":"Oxford University Press (OUP)"}],"prism:publicationDate":"2007-08-21","prism:volume":"3","prism:number":"10","prism:startingPage":"705","prism:endingPage":"713"},"reviewed":"false","dc:rights":["https://academic.oup.com/pages/standard-publication-reuse-rights"],"url":[{"@id":"https://academic.oup.com/molecular-omics/article-pdf/3/10/705/66287569/b708581h.pdf"}],"createdAt":"2007-09-20","modifiedAt":"2026-01-07","relatedProduct":[{"@id":"https://cir.nii.ac.jp/crid/2050588892097411200","@type":"Article","resourceType":"学術雑誌論文(journal article)","relationType":["isReferencedBy"],"jpcoar:relatedTitle":[{"@value":"Profiling of kidney vascular endothelial cell plasma membrane proteins by liquid chromatography-tandem mass spectrometry"}]}],"dataSourceIdentifier":[{"@type":"CROSSREF","@value":"10.1039/b708581h"},{"@type":"CROSSREF","@value":"10.1007/s10157-012-0708-1_references_DOI_5XWRLePwzIEuVVjo3TBUKn0WMtM"}]}
