Using single-molecule imaging, Ganji\n                    <jats:italic>et al.</jats:italic>\n                    visualized in real time a condensin-mediated, adenosine triphosphate-dependent, fast DNA loop extrusion process. Loop extrusion occurred asymmetrically, with condensin reeling in only one end of the DNA.
