Members of the\n                    <jats:italic>SLAM</jats:italic>\n                    costimulatory molecule family constitute prime candidates for\n                    <jats:italic>\n                      Sle1b\n                      <jats:sup>z</jats:sup>\n                    </jats:italic>\n                    , among which the\n                    <jats:italic>Ly108.1</jats:italic>\n                    isoform of the\n                    <jats:italic>Ly108</jats:italic>\n                    gene was most highly expressed in immature B cells from lupus-prone B6.\n                    <jats:italic>Sle1</jats:italic>\n                    <jats:sup>z</jats:sup>\n                    mice. The normal\n                    <jats:italic>Ly108.2</jats:italic>\n                    allele, but not the lupus-associated\n                    <jats:italic>Ly108.1</jats:italic>\n                    allele, was found to sensitize immature B cells to deletion and\n                    <jats:italic>RAG</jats:italic>\n                    reexpression.
