Among its key characteristics, this apparatus allows both measurement of the magnetization moment on the interval from room temperature to 700°C with a precision of 2 × 10-<jats:sup>9</jats:sup> A m<jats:sup>2</jats:sup> and acquisition of a total or a partial thermo-remanent magnetization using a steady field from -100 up to 100 μT. Another point that is worth noting is that one can apply a controlled atmosphere by means of argon flux to prevent oxidation of the studied sample during heating. We report here a technical description of this new instrument and review some specific applications in absolute paleointensity surveys.</jats:p>"}]}],"creator":[{"@id":"https://cir.nii.ac.jp/crid/1382825894997114753","@type":"Researcher","foaf:name":[{"@value":"Thierry Poidras"}]},{"@id":"https://cir.nii.ac.jp/crid/1382825894997114752","@type":"Researcher","foaf:name":[{"@value":"Pierre Camps"}]},{"@id":"https://cir.nii.ac.jp/crid/1382825894997114754","@type":"Researcher","foaf:name":[{"@value":"Patrick Nicol"}]}],"publication":{"publicationIdentifier":[{"@type":"PISSN","@value":"13438832"},{"@type":"EISSN","@value":"18805981"}],"prism:publicationName":[{"@value":"Earth, Planets and Space"}],"dc:publisher":[{"@value":"Springer Science and Business Media LLC"}],"prism:publicationDate":"2009-01","prism:volume":"61","prism:number":"1","prism:startingPage":"101","prism:endingPage":"110"},"reviewed":"false","dc:rights":["https://creativecommons.org/licenses/by/4.0/","https://creativecommons.org/licenses/by/4.0/"],"url":[{"@id":"https://link.springer.com/content/pdf/10.1186/BF03352889.pdf"},{"@id":"https://link.springer.com/article/10.1186/BF03352889/fulltext.html"},{"@id":"http://link.springer.com/content/pdf/10.1186/BF03352889"}],"createdAt":"2014-08-15","modifiedAt":"2021-09-02","relatedProduct":[{"@id":"https://cir.nii.ac.jp/crid/2050025942192551936","@type":"Article","resourceType":"学術雑誌論文(journal article)","relationType":["isReferencedBy"],"jpcoar:relatedTitle":[{"@value":"A LabVIEW software for Thellier paleointensity measurements with an automated three-component spinner magnetometer TSpin"}]}],"dataSourceIdentifier":[{"@type":"CROSSREF","@value":"10.1186/bf03352889"},{"@type":"CROSSREF","@value":"10.1186/s40623-016-0424-2_references_DOI_M5bqErQXAgPid2Hle2bOl24uTXi"}]}
