Asymptotic Behavior of Solutions for Nonlinear Volterra Discrete Equations

<jats:p>We consider nonlinear difference equations of unbounded order of the form , <jats:italic>i</jats:italic> = 0, 1, 2, …, where <jats:italic>f</jats:italic><jats:sub><jats:italic>j</jats:italic></jats:sub>(<jats:italic>x</jats:italic>) (<jats:italic>j</jats:italic> = 0, …, <jats:italic>i</jats:italic>) are suitable functions. We establish sufficient conditions for the boundedness and the convergence of <jats:italic>x</jats:italic><jats:sub><jats:italic>i</jats:italic></jats:sub> as <jats:italic>i</jats:italic> → +<jats:italic>∞</jats:italic>. Some of these conditions are interesting mainly for studying stability of numerical methods for Volterra integral equations.</jats:p>
