Other particle results can be found in the presentations listed in the Index of this quadrennial (1983–1986) U.S. Report to the IUGG (see the SPR‐Magnetosphere and SPR‐Aeronomy sections for particle results pertaining, respectively, to the magnetosphere and the ionosphere/thermosphere). In the previous U.S. Report, ring‐current and radiation‐belt results through 1982 were included in a comprehensive presentation on near‐equatorial magnetospheric particles by Young [1983].
