Description
This study is aimed to clarify the requirements for hospital location and site selection process by the analysis through the trend of hospital relocation and accessibility of public transportation, which is based on hearing and questionnaire surveys to 70 hospitals relocated in the year from 2003 to 2012. The results are as follows: 1) The trend of hospital relocation has no significant change by the revision of the three city development laws. 2) On th requirements for hospital location and site selection processes of hospital relocations, important matters are the distance to the new site from the previous site and the early realization of the relocation. 3) Requirements for hospital location significantly vary with the railway structure of the city where the hospital is located.
