Description

A 5-year-old Japanese domestic cat, wounded by an arrow from an archery gun was treated. The arrow entered from the medial canthus of the right eye and passed through the left scapular region. However, great vessel damage, penetration into the cranium and ocular rupture were not observed. Bleeding was minimun. The arrow could by slowly removed without post-removal bleeding. The wound was treated with local cleansing and sterilization along with systemic administration of antibiotics. Although the cat recovered, visual disturbances remained.
