Description

A 74-year-old man, who had undergone sigmoidectomy for sigmoid colon cancer in 2005, was found to have a mass in the pancreatic tail by an abdominal CT scan performed 3 years after the operation. We conducted distal pancreatectomy with a diagnosis of pancreatic cancer or metastatic pancreatic tumor. The pathological diagnosis was moderately differentiated adenocarcinoma, compatible with metastasis of sigmoid colon cancer.
