Description

Excellent results of neutron scattering techniques in a field of molecular magnetism were briefly reviewed. Polarized neutron diffraction gave detailed information of electron spin density distributions in the crystals of organic magnets. This information is crucial for clarifying the mechanism of organic magnet. Magnetic scattering of neutron directly revealed the parameter of magnetic anisotropy of magnetic cluster molecules, which is an origin of single-molecule magnet. Some proposals of neutron scattering experiment on spin fluctuation system in connection with a research project of “Application of Molecular Spins” and hope for J-PARC were mentioned.
