Description
A lossy coding of error-diffused halftone image by coding a corresponding multi-level image with the same bit-rate as that of JBIG2 coding method, and error diffusion is done after decoding is studied. Various multi-level image coding standards are examined and image evaluation is done through inversed halftoning. The simulation result shows that proposed method is worth consideration.
