Description
Support for residents to make decisions for their autonomy is one of the key domains with informatization of a society. The task is related with different arguments of empowerment of local government, development of DSS and logics in social choice theory. This paper reviews the three contexts with respect of a model of 'information,deliberation and decision' presented in a research of electronic democracy (Tomiyama(2002)). As a conclusion, this paper illustrates how a supporting system can be feasible while there are conflicts among the basic notions in the original arguments.
