Description
Authors have been examining the restitution property of the steel ball of the same diameter and the same mass to understand the impact phenomenon of the object. In this research the impact experiments on the same diameter and the same mass spheres were conducted for each material with aluminum (Al5052) sphere and 65:35 brass (C2700) sphere, and the restitution property was examined. The coefficient of restitution of aluminum and brass, decreased exponentially with the impact velocity. A finite element analysis by the stress-strain relations obtained from the static compression test and the dynamic compression test was done an analytical result and the experiment result were corresponding well.
