Description

Electron spin resonance (ESR) spectroscopy is capable of selectively detecting the magnetic moments (spins) of materials, which is effective for investigating the local information in the materials from a microscopic viewpoint. Using ESR spectroscopy, the microscopic properties of organic devices, such as charge-carrier states and molecular orientation, can be multidirectionally evaluated. In this paper, the analysis studies of microscopic properties using ESR spectroscopy for organic transistors, organic solar cells, organic light-emitting diodes, and their constituent materials including the latest results of research, are reviewed.
