Abstract
<p>NafionR have excellent proton conductive properties and used for polymer electrolyte membrane in polymer electrolyte fuel cell. However, NafionR has some problems such as outrageous price and mechanical strength. We have prepared polyvinylphosphonic acid (PVPA) coated cellulose nanocrystals (CNC) as a filler and to solve the NafionR issue. The filler is composed of CNC which has high mechanical strength and PVPA which has potential for high proton conductivity. In this study, we fabricated a novel electrolyte membrane by dispersing CNC coated with PVPA in olefin resin and evaluated their properties.</p>
