Description

Contemporary French philosophy, including existentialism, structuralism and poststructuralism, has often been regarded as "avant-garde" due to harsh criticism of traditional Kantism in the 1930s. However, upon reading the texts carefully, there are some signs that suggest its relevance. In this article, I propose to reconstruct the interpretation of the concept of time and space in relation to infinite intellect in “Salomon Maimon’s Transcendental Philosophy" which has almost been forgotten. This attempt provides an opportunity to find the academicism at that time that prepared some aspects of the next philosophical movements.
