Description

A fundamental study was conducted on the amount of CO2 absorbed and various properties of cement paste using a calcium hydroxide solution injected by CO2 as the mixing water. As a result, the use of calcium hydroxide solution injected by CO2 as mixing water increased the amount of CO2 absorption. Also, it contributed to the compressive strength of the cement paste. One of the reasons for the increase in the compressive strength of the cement paste might be that the changes in the type and amount of calcium aluminate hydrates made the microstructure of the cement paste denser and decreased its porosity.
