First, cluster analysis on a questionnaire survey was carried out to divide them into two self-identified heat tolerance groups. Second, we measured their physiological responses in mild heat environment during acute heat exposure experiment. Third, their morphorogical parameters were measured. As a result of cluster analysis, subjects were divided into the high (n=9) and low self-identified heat tolerance group (n=8). The High group showed significantly higher score than the Low group in the questions about sleep environment (p < 0.05). However, in the mild heat exposure test, there was no main effect or interactions between time and groups in core temperature (rectal temperature) and mean skin temperature. Local sweat rate on the neck at 90 min after heat exposure was significantly higher in the High group than in the Low group (p<0.05).
