Abstract: This study was content-analyzed with the aim of clarifying the learning and utilization of infection prevention skills after the class on infection prevention skills attended by nursing students under the influence of the environment created by the new coronavirus infection. The learnings from the infection prevention skills class were ”importance of correct knowledge”, ”importance of infection prevention skills”, ”infection prevention skills to be performed as a healthcare professional”, ”increased awareness of infection on a daily basis”, and ”importance of personal information literacy”. The students were asked how they would like to utilize infection prevention as nurses: ”Thorough implementation of basic infection control measures”, ”Prevention of nosocomial infections”, ”Encouragement of infection prevention of those close to them”, ”Protection of privacy”, and ”Future utilization of knowledge and skills revealed to them”. It is thought that students were able to learn realistically through the experience of behavior change and recognized their roles and positions as nurses.
