Problem arise in producing acne to the younger skin. The purpose of this paper is investigating direct effect of <i>γ</i>-oryzanol to sebaceous glands. Nineteen normal subjects applied 1% <i>γ</i>-oryzanol cream and placebo to the both forearm skins by the double blind methood. After one month, skin surface lipids were collected by casual level, and total lipid and lipid peroxide were estimated by the methods of oxidation and thio-burbituric acid. Total skin lipid values showed significant increase after the application of <i>γ</i>-oryzanol.
