Description
The patient was a 54-year-old woman. The chief complaint was left abdominal pain. She was undertook left ureter stent because of left ureter stenosis. The colonoscopy revealed advanced colon cancer. Computed tomography showed the tumor invasion of left ureter and swelling of paraaorta lymph node. Then we diagnosed this, RS, type2, 43mm, cSI (left ureter), cN3, cH0, cP0, cM1 (#216), cStageⅣ. Bowel obstruction was treated with transverse colostomy. Then CapeOX plus bevacizumab combination chemotherapy was performed for 11 course. We considered the tumor resectable and performed low anterior resection, paraaorta lymph node resection, and partial resection of left ureter. A pathologic histology inspection of the tumor, judged to be GradeⅠb prior to resection. pSI (left ureter), pN3 (29/33), pH0, pP0, pM1 (#216), pStageⅣ, presence of carcinoma of left ureter margin. (R1, CurB) The patient is still alive and disease-free 6 months after surgery, and performed CapeOX plus bevacizumab combination chemotherapy.
