It was found that among tested solvent systems, isoamyl alcohol saturated with 5% acetic acid (<sub>I</sub>), <i>n</i>-butanol saturated with water (<sub>II</sub>) and chloroform : benzyl alcohol : acetic acid (70:30:3) (<sub>III</sub>) were the most useful for the chromatography. Excellent two-dimensional chromatograms were obtained, using solvent <sub>I</sub> followed by solvent <sub>II</sub> or <sub>III</sub>.
