The trial duration was 12 weeks, and the doses by oral administration were two groups, one was 6 g/day for under 30kg, and another was 12g/day for 30 kg and over.<BR>The effectiveness coix seed extract powder group was remarkable useful and useful in 56/91 (61.5%), and the effectiveness of placebo group was remarkable useful and useful in 56/101 (55.4%). A significant difference was not seen in effectiveness between both groups. However, not effective cases in placebo group were about two times in coix seed extract powder group.In usefulness and being-rate of the papules of molluscum contagiosum after four weeks, coix seed extract powder group was superior to placebo group.<BR>A significant difference in effectiveness was observed in coix seed extract powder group ofmale patients.
