Type 1 diabetes as well has been found to be associated with pancreatic specific autoantibodies and the autoantigens related to the autoantibodies was found at the end of the last century, which lead to the way to prevention of type 1 diabetes. Such circumstance around both type 1 and type 2 diabetes provides us with a fundamental therapy to diabetes instead of a conservative therapy. The therapy will resolve a difficulty of the treatment of diabetes.However, we have to consider that diabetes is a mental disease related closely to self-esteem ability. The major part of the treatment of diabetes depend upon self-management of the disease. Assessment of the self-management is just evaluated by the level of glycemic control or the development of diabetic complications. The self-management will be continued for their whole life. Poor glycemic control or the development of diabetic complications sometimes leads to the lowering of self-esteem or the self-destruction, which also leads to poor glycemic control, and so on.
