Although several imaging studies could not provide a definitive diagnosis, metastatic liver cancer was considered on the basis of the pathological examination of the biopsy specimen. We planned liver resection, because no other tumor was found before surgery. During the operation, a mass in the stomach wall and a swollen lymph node along the lesser curvature were detected in addition to the liver tumors. The intraoperative diagnosis was gastric cancer with liver and lymph node metastases based on the frozen section examination of the gastric mass and lymph node. We performed total gastrectomy and partial liver resections. Pathological examination of the resected specimen disclosed epithelial hemangioendothelioma of the liver with gastric and lymph node
