Description
An automatic curve follower which follows the curve on the strip chart of recording instrument is described. The detector head, which consists of a light source, a lens and two CdS cells, is "seeing" the curve. If the head deviates from the curve, it transmits signals to the amplifier, detecting the direction of this deviation, and energizes the relays that control the servo motor. The performance of the follower is as follows: <BR>(1) Following speed, 3.0mm/s max. (2) The finest line which can be followed, 0.4mm wide. (3) Tracking error, ±0.6mm max.
