In order to get the nations economy to come to life again it is considered necessary to increase entrepreneurship and venture businesses which lead to create new employment, and to help small and medium firms stand on their own legs which drives local economy ahead. In this context, public libraries should not be indifferent to economy of local communities any more. Public libraries have long engaged in classifying and arranging of information they hold and had experiences of providing information for their patrons, and fostered librarianship. If those libraries would have cooperation with economic sector in the local governments and help that sector create businesses, or business operation, they could contribute to the local economy. To put this into practice, library directors must show their leadership and eagerness to wrestle with.
