Description
In the Business Continuity Planning, it is important to evaluate outage time of facilities. This study proposes the practical prediction method of outage time caused by earthquake that Business Continuity Planning requires. The proposed method requires principle of restoration simultaneously and statistically independent of damage, and takes system reliability technique based on the fault tree analysis and theorem of extreme value into account. Furthermore, outage time probability mass function of three kinds of system that are series system, parallel system and mixed system were evaluated for applicability.
