説明

The residual strain and stress around the fiber of the fiber reinforced composite was measured by an electron Moire method. The residual strains around the fibers are released by pushing the fiber out. The released residual strains are measured from electron moire fringes and then residual stress is calculate from residual strain. To fabricate a model grid, an electron beam lithography which can fabricate the grids with frequencies up to 10,000 lines/mm on the composites surface was used. An electron beam scan was used for the master grid. Measurements of the residual stress around the fibers in SiC/Ti-15-3 and boron/epoxy composites show the validity of the method.
