Description

Zeolite was synthesized by alkaline hydrothermal treatment of coal fly ash, which has been a problem for disposal as waste, and zeolite yield was improved by composition control and microwave irradiation. The catalytic property of mesoporous silica was improved by formation of acidic points for adsorption ability and introduction of TiO2 particles for photodecomposition. The decomposition site near the adsorption site was effective for the removal of harmful organic molecules in gas and liquid phases. Porous carbon with high specific surface area was synthesized from glucose for use in electric double layer capacitors. For the development of ceramics for solving these environmental and energy problems, surface and crystal structure analysis, internal structure analysis, and pore structure analysis were carried out using various instruments to clarify the relationship between structure and properties.
