Description

type:text

Duns Scotus applied absolute power in a juristic sense to God as well as Pope and king. The purpose of this paper is to find the theological meaning of absolute power in Duns Scotus. Three main texts include no logical incoherence, but in later works he corrected some terms and distinguished the levels between universal law and particular judgement. We conclude ordained and absolute power of God signify the compatibility of justice and liberty for salvation of each person.
