<p>At the 25th Annual International Conference of the Japanese Society for Language Sciences, a symposium entitled “GrammarXiv: Explorations and Applications of An Open-Access Database for Linguistic Theories, Hypotheses, and Data” featured a public interview with psycholinguist Koji Sugisaki. In this session, the open-access database GrammarXiv was used to visualize a series of Sugisaki’s acquisition research in relation to relevant theoretical studies. These visualizations served as the basis for discussion over various issues, including the aim and development of Sugisaki’s work, the guiding intuitions underlying his research ideas, and his perspectives on interdisciplinary approaches and competing theoretical frameworks. This paper introduces the structure and objectives of GrammarXiv, summarizes the content of the interview, and considers the potential of GrammarXiv as a tool for psycholinguistic research grounded in linguistic theory.</p>
