The cell of origin (COO) of diffuse large B cell lymphoma (DLBCL) can be identified using gene expression profiling and then becomes the most critical indicator of DLBCL. The stratification by COO is essential when incorporating molecule-targeting agents into DLBCL treatment. The era of tumor immunity has arrived. Lately, immune checkpoint inhibitors, adoptive cell immunotherapy, and other immune therapies have been transforming the management of malignant lymphoma.
