Abstract

This study describes inequality in the appearance of the effect of French higher education. Though France has its free higher education system, the system disappoints the expectation of the youth who entered a higher grade school for finding employment, but the unemployment rate is very high. When entering higher education institutions, the parent social stratification has a great influence on selection for more advantageous science school. The employment of the liberal arts graduates is very severe. They are suffered from the academic inflation and the prolonged unemployment state even after becoming a highly educated person.
