<p>Originally, subscription meant only regular delivery or recurring purchases. Recently, however, subscription services are changing consumer purchasing behavior. What is going on? In order to examine this, it is necessary to clarify what subscription services are. We first define subscription and identify the functional requirements of subscription. Then, we will examine it specifically through a comparative study of subscription evolution forms used in a commercial sense and conventional sharing services. Finally, after clarifying the relationship between subscription services and changes in purchasing behavior, the advantages/disadvantages of subscriptions for both businesses and users will be summarized.</p>
