Description
Galvanic Vestibular Stimulation (GVS), which can directly induce body movements, can induce high-speed movements without the need to be aware of the stimuli and thus may be useful for the safe walking of visually impaired people. This paper describes a proposal for a mobility assist device using GVS and the design and evaluation of the GVS circuit. The GVS mobility assist device, which solves safety issues when walking for the visually impaired, is expected to help them walk safely because it can guide the user's movements at high speed without making them aware.
