Description

Coordination polymers (CPs) and metal–organic frameworks (MOFs) are crystalline materials composed of metal ions and organic ligands. Owing to their high structural and compositional tunability, they have long been studied for applications such as adsorption and catalysis. This article overviews recent advances in CO2 reduction using these materials as photocatalysts, highlighting a new class of CP-type photocatalysts that simultaneously achieve high CO2 reduction selectivity and quantum efficiency.
